We have been asked to make the standard size version (CD8) of our Empire chest larger so many times we thought it about time to introduce one as a standard piece! So we have added a drawer and increased the width and depth.

All of our chests have traditional drawers that run on substantial wooden runners rather than flimsy bits of metal. Solid hardwood construction throughout – even the bases of the drawers and back of the chest! So as with all of our pieces you can be assured that this chest will stand the test of time! Internal drawer height approximately 13cms.

A popular option for finishing is to have the top only in a stained and oiled finish. This is harder wearing than a painted surface so ideal for pieces that are going to have relatively heavy use. This does not add to the painted price.
