Shown here in raw wood and the one in our showroom painted in Little Greene Rolling Fog. Also, a customers’ image where they painted just the top to match their wall panelling in F&B Treron.
Please see our Finishes & Options page for details of the different looks you can specify for this piece.
At last an alternative to the rather inelegant Radiator Cover to be found in every DIY store!
This piece still allows the radiator to do what it was designed for whilst at the same time significantly reducing its visual impact. It also provides a useful shelf. The table has an MDF top to reduce the possibility of shrinkage cracks caused by the heat and two simple self assembly legs. Simply fix to the wall by screwing through the rear rail (or use some mirror plates). As the table effectively ‘hooks’ over the radiator you will probably not need to fix the table at all as the radiator will prevent the table from tipping forward (just check that there is at least 18mm gap between wall and the radiator).
Our radiator tables are supplied at 100cm height to cater for most situations. Legs can be cut on site to suit most height requirements or if you would like us to trim them down for you then you can select this option by checking the box below and stating the Finished Table Height (not Leg height) in the notes box. This will add £25 per table. Please ensure you have studied the diagram showing our suggested dimensions based on the size of the radiator as we are unable to accept returns if we have trimmed to your requested size.
If you require a table lower than 80cm or taller than 100cm is required this would need to be a custom order.
Please note we can make to any size to suit most radiators. Very wide bespoke versions may benefit visually from an extra middle leg but we can discuss this with you when you order.
The first image shows the table in its raw state. The other image was taken in our showrooms where we have cut the legs of a standard table down by about 10cm to allow the table to sit just below a dado rail. This demonstrates just how effective these tables are at drawing the eye away from the radiator. The radiator, table and panelling have all been painted in the same colour to minimise the visual impact of the radiator.
As a general rule for a standard single or double pressed steel radiator the depth needs to be at least 12cm more than the face of the radiator, 25cm wider and 5cm higher. This will give the overall maximum size of the table including the overhang of the top. We have included an image of the underside of these tables to assist with working out sizes.
