A simple freestanding kitchen sink cupboard which includes two large drawers with the cupboards below having adjustable shelves inside. The strong wicker baskets, ideal for storing vegetables, are sold separately if required: Click here

We have designed this unit around the iconic Shaws Bowland Sink which is available in two finishes (White and Biscuit) and measures 595mm x 465mm x 220mm high. The sink compartment is 605mm wide x 230mm high to allow for tolerances of fireclay sinks (the back of this part is open). Sinks such as the Bowland have a flat base so that it can simply slide in from the front. Other, plainer, sinks are available that will work and one is shown in the image with the box of eggs! The top is removable by unscrewing several screws if you need to drop the sink in from above but you will have to do extra cutting of the base if the sink you are using has a projecting waste (many Belfast sinks do). The base of the compartment is solid wood for you to cut out waste holes as required.

We would recommend using an oil on this worktop (and entire sink compartment) for protection and also enhancing the deep, natural colouring of this wood.
