Our picture rails are made from high quality Scandinavian Redwood. It does have knots, and the occasional shrinkage crack which may require a bit of filler, but it is tougher and has a much better surface quality than mouldings made from standard fibreboard and allows for a much crisper and truer profile.

A classic pattern but with the addition of a rebate to make installation above our panelling very straightforward. The rail is 44mm high but the rebate is 6mm deep so it will add a total of 38mm to the overall height. Use traditional brass picture hooks (available in most DIY stores and Ironmongers) to hang your works of art in the traditional manner!

Ideal for finishing off our Victorian & Jacobean panelling at about 3/4 of the way up the wall so that you do not need to worry about making the panels fit exactly the ceiling height you have!

N.B. Rails are 2.4m long but we advise allowing only 2.0m of actual coverage per length as mitred corners use up a sizeable amount of timber!
