Our dado rails are made from high quality Scandinavian Redwood. It does have knots, and the occasional shrinkage crack which may require a bit of filler, but it is tougher and has a much better surface quality than mouldings made from standard fibreboard and allows for a much crisper and truer profile.
The Simple Dado Rail is often used in conjunction with our Classic Plant-On Mouldings but it can also be used with our MDF panelling. Fit flush with the top of the panels and then sand/use fine surface filler to “lose” the joint.
N.B. Rails are 2.4m long but we advise allowing only 2.0m of actual coverage per length as mitred corners use up a sizeable amount of timber!
