Stockholm Mora Clock (CL2)

From: £769.00

Our Swedish Clocks have become one our most enduring and representative offerings.  During the long and dark winter months, peasant farmers 18th Century Sweden turned their hands to furniture making in order to supplement their income. The style of long case clocks originate from Mora in central Sweden and have become extremely sought after.  Their simple, almost naive designs make them a style statement in any context.

Handmade in solid hardwood, our interpretation is closely based on an original eighteenth century specimen and comes complete with a quartz mechanism and an enamel painted metal face (see close up).

Please see our Finishes & Options page for details of the different looks you can specify for this piece.

Shown here in raw wood and in a bespoke cream and grey finish. Also a lovely shot kindly supplied by Lucy Gough Stylist (@oliverperrottphoto and @countryhomesmag) showing the raw finish clock against a dusky pink wall.
